Are you craving something more than another stroller walk or playmat session?
Sound Play Babies is a nurturing first music class for pre-walkers (ages 0–12 months) and the grown-ups who love them. In this cozy, connection-filled class, you’ll share songs, lullabies, movement, and play designed especially for babies—while finding your own rhythm as a parent.
This is where your baby’s eyes widen at the sound of live music, where you discover soothing rituals you can bring into everyday routines, and where you—yes, you—find a safe, welcoming space to bond, breathe, and belong alongside other new parents.
Parents who want one simple, joyful moment each week to slow down and savor their baby. It’s for those looking for something gentle, meaningful, and easy to fit into real life—a cozy, connected space without pressure or performance.
This program cares about the bond between you and your baby—presence, warmth, and connection over milestones or checklists. It’s a gentle circle where every parent feels welcome, every baby is celebrated, and music brings calm and comfort to an often overwhelming season.
Your baby’s eyes light up at familiar songs, relaxing with lullabies and wiggling along to rhythm. At home, music becomes your go-to tool for soothing and joy, while class becomes your weekly reset—a gentle pause to breathe, connect, and remember you’re doing an incredible job.
You’ll love how simple it feels—just come as you are, settle into a gentle flow that calms babies and reassures parents, and leave with songs you’ll actually use at home.
Most of all, these 45 minutes become a pause in your week to laugh, connect, and breathe—a memory-making moment for both you and your baby.
"Rylan loves going to music class and I have enjoyed meeting other moms and babies. Watching him interact with other kids has been such a joy."
– Kristen G., Parent (Babies class)
Gentle songs, movement, and touch create moments of pure connection—your weekly reset to simply be together.
Take home a small shaker or bell—your baby’s very first instrument. Watch their face light up when they recognize “their” sound.
Each class includes a lullaby, giving you a collection of soothing songs you can carry into bedtime and daily routines at home.
Babies cry, feed, and wiggle. Parents show up however mornings allow—and that’s celebrated. This space is about presence, not perfection.
The first time your baby coos back, claps to the beat, or shakes along—we’ll notice and celebrate with you, making those tiny moments unforgettable.
Keep the music flowing all week with easy Spotify access (and optional CD). From car rides to diaper changes, these songs become tools for joy and calm.
Meet other new parents who get it. Quick chats in class often turn into the friendships (and support system) you’ve been craving.
Celebrate together at our joyful end-of-term concert. Connect with families from across Sound Play and see what’s ahead as your baby grows.
When your baby turns one or takes those first steps, we’ll celebrate together—and seamlessly welcome you into Family Jam, the next stage of joyful musical play.
We want your family to love making music with us. If, within the first 30 days of the semester, you decide Sound Play Babies isn’t the right fit, just let us know—we’ll happily refund you for any remaining classes. No hassle. No hard feelings. Just music made with joy.
We’ve made it stress-free to get to class. Our locations are centrally located and offer hassle-free parking—because getting out the door with little ones should feel manageable.

"We started Sound Play when my eldest was a baby, and now my younger child is enjoying it too. The strong sense of community and the way music has become part of our daily lives makes it such a valuable experience."
– Jenn Demers, Parent (Babies + Family Jam)
Each Sound Play Babies class is 45 minutes long—just the right amount of time for babies to engage without getting overstimulated. It’s short enough to fit into your week easily, but long enough to become a soothing, meaningful ritual.
That’s completely normal. Babies cry, feed, nap, and need to be held—it’s all part of class. You’re welcome to nurse, bottle feed, or comfort your baby in any way you need. No one will ever raise an eyebrow.
That’s fine too! Your baby is still soaking in the sounds and rhythms even while resting. And you’ll leave with songs, rituals, and tools you can use during awake time at home.
Not at all. You don’t need to be a singer or play an instrument. Simply showing up, being present, and enjoying the music together is all your baby needs—and all that matters.
We love welcoming twins and multiples! Tuition is half price for the second baby, and free for the third and beyond.
Never. Babies are welcome from birth through their first steps. Early exposure to live music supports brain development, bonding, and emotional growth—even for the tiniest newborns.
That’s an exciting milestone! When your little one is ready to explore on two feet, we’ll celebrate together and warmly invite you into our Family Jam program—the perfect next step for toddlers.
Yes. While many caregivers sit on the floor, chairs are always available if that’s more comfortable for you. Your comfort matters.
Yes! You can book a trial class to see if it’s the right fit. And if you enroll and later decide it isn’t, our Happiness Guarantee means you’ll receive a refund for the unused portion of your tuition. Simple and stress-free.
Life with a baby is unpredictable—we get it. That’s why we offer unlimited makeups. Because there are fewer Babies classes on the schedule, you’re always welcome to use a Family Jam class as your makeup. Babies are part of Family Jam too, so it’s a great fit—and it gives you a chance to see what the next stage of your little one’s music journey will look like.
Nope—everything you need is provided. Just bring your baby and the usual essentials (diaper bag, blanket, pacifier if you like). We’ll take care of the rest.
Absolutely. Babies classes are a special time to share, and extended family is always welcome—whether it’s a grandparent, aunt, uncle, or anyone important in your baby’s life. Just let them tag along and enjoy the music with you.
Yes. Through our Sound Play scholarship fund, we offer discounts or sliding-scale tuition for families receiving WIC benefits, Early Intervention services, or who are fostering children. Every family deserves access to joyful music-making.
